Düsseldorf, Germany in the 1920s. Economic crisis, mass unemployment, hyper inflation Nazis and communists fight for the power and in the middle of it one dead body after the other pops up. That's how the second volume from the series Assassins with the title Le Vampire starts. There is one common clue between all these murders: the murderer, who doesn't distinguish between men, women and children, seems to drink te blood of his victims. Unusual, not only then. The police is helpless, dozens of victims are falling prey to the unknown attacker and the political violence of these times don't make their job easier. Even 200 additional police officers don't bring them closer to catch him, until "comissar randomness" finally delivers the murderer.

An amusement park inhabited with zombies, vampires, werewolves and other scary figures: that is Zombillénium. And Arthur de Pins followed up with the second volume: Ressources humaines ("human resources "). We remember from the first volume Zombillénium – Gretchen, where a couple of new employees make their first steps in the park. Gretchen, the witch, the new employee who just "was died" and was bitten both by Francis von Bloodt, a vampire and the director of the park, as well as a werewolf multiple times.

Spirou and Fantasio have had a good run and the bar is raised for them by their fans. That's why it is interesting to see how these francobelgian comic heros started to develop in the past years. While the past was dominated by good and less controversive humor for young readers, the special editions from recent years started to deal with riskier topics.
